Information handled
We process organization names and account email addresses, login and access-control information, uploaded inventory records, descriptions, location and bin labels, photos, prices and sales information where enabled, and technical security logs needed to run the service. Do not upload unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Why information is used
We use this information to provide workspaces, authenticate users, safeguard and operate the service, answer support inquiries, and improve beta functionality. Optional inventory report emails are sent only when an organization administrator enables them.
Service providers
TapBin uses cloud infrastructure including Cloudflare and may send selected user-provided input to AI services for features an organization chooses to use. Optional report emails may be delivered through an email provider. Providers may process information outside Alberta or Canada. Contact us for current service-provider details and policies.
Control and retention
Organization administrators manage their workspace access and inventory entries. You may ask North Star for access, corrections, export or deletion. Retention depends on operational backup cycles and applicable legal obligations; an email or downloaded report is controlled by its recipient after delivery.
Safeguards and incidents
We implement technical and administrative security controls and restrict access by role. No service can promise perfect security. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. We address incidents and notification duties as required by applicable law.
